The Potomac Unit engages in several annual events each year. The plant sale is a major fund raiser for the unit where members have a great time contributing plants from our gardens and working at the plant sale. We also participate in HerbDay with activities held at USNA and USBG. Two symposiums are held each year sponsored by different units in our region. Many or our members attend the Herb Society of America’s Educational Conference and/or Annual Meeting which is held yearly at a different location in the United States.

Chili Pepper Celebration - Under the Arbor
October 8, 2016, Saturday, 1:00 - 4:00 pm
This fun event hosted by Potomac Unit will have delicious dips to taste and our members will be available to answer all your questions about chili peppers. Other Mid-Atlantic Units will be providing a sample of chili based foods, including hot chocolate and sorbets. You’ll also have the opportunity to learn about the diversity of chilies by exploring the Garden’s extensive collection of over 60 varieties, including some of the world’s hottest known peppers. October is usually a wonderful time to be in the herb garden, so don’t miss it.
